I’ve seen photography from most angles during my life; from having my Granddads try to make me sit still so they could take my photo when I was young, to studying it at college & university, to travelling round the world with a point & shoot.
I’ve played in bands since I was 14 and both playing and listening to music have been a daily part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’m also a self-confessed film nut.
All of my artistic endeavours throughout life have culminated in what I can now do for you: capture your wedding day naturally as it unfolds so you are left with memories of the happiest day of your life. The reportage photography style I use allows your wedding day be of just that: YOUR wedding day. Your precious time with guests is what the day is really about: sharing your commitment with your family and friends. I use professional techniques combined with a photojournalist’s traveling mind. In capturing a momentary glance, or a once-in-a-lifetime situation with confidence and creativity I can offer you moments throughout your wedding day which truly echo the occasion. If you wish for traditional group shots, I will of course be able to provide these in an unique manner.
The things I enjoy most about working as a photographer are the people and the photographs, and the pride I have for my art shines through from before the wedding until you receive your finished photos. Being able to meet hundreds of people throughout the year through photo shoots is a definite perk to the job and has enabled me to hone my skills as a documentary-style photographer. I know where to be and how to depict all of the small moments in the day right through to the throwing of the bouquet. My main goal in taking a photo is that it does more than just tell you what’s there. It shows you.
