Mitton Hall Hotel Wedding

A Mitton Hall Hotel Wedding in Lancashire
Kate and Matt got married at the rather lovely, Mitton Hall Hotel in Clitheroe, Lancashire, and held their wedding ceremony at St Mary’s and All Saint’s Church in nearby Whalley. It was a fun-filled, action-packed day, with dancing, singing, bum-pinching and magic! I loved every minute of my time as a Mitton Hall wedding photographer.

Getting Ready at Foxfields
Kate was getting ready at Foxfields Country Hotel, so I met here there in the morning to see how she was getting on, and to take a few photographs of her and the girls getting ready. As she was arriving at the church by horse-drawn carriage, I got to spend some time with the horses, too!
Church Wedding in Whalley, Lancashire
The St Mary’s and All Saint’s church in Whalley is a beautiful old church, set in the middle of this lovely village. All the loveliness can’t control the weather though, and as me and a small group of the guests were waiting for the carriage to arrive, it started raining, which sent people dashing for cover. Good job Kate’s dad came prepared with a brolly!
Singing Waiters at Mitton Hall Hotel
By the time we arrived at Mitton Hall, the weather had thankfully cleared, so guests were able to mill around outside, chatting and congratulating the happy couple before sitting down for the meal and speeches. I knew in advance that Kate and Matt had booked one of the Silver Service Singers, but that nobody knew. So I was on the look out. I spotted him quite early on, gave him and knowing look and he told me at what point he would make his entrance.
Singing waiters are always a load of fun, and this chap was no exception. He really got the room going. Getting people involved and generally putting massive smiles on people’s faces. He even got the Maid of Honour, Laura up at the front giving a group of blokes dance lessons! And ended the party with a giant conga around the reception room. I doubt the guests had pictured this when they set off that morning!
And if that wasn’t enough, the guests were treated to a couple of hours with Mark Waddington, who is not only a fantastic magician, but he’s bloody hilarious, too! Such a great way to keep the party going before the evening do when people can let rip on the dance floor!
