It’s been a while since I posted anything to this series but this image kept catching my eye whilst designing Faye and Tom’s wedding album this month. This ‘One Fine Moment’ series is my way of shining the spotlight on those single images that really capture a moment during the wedding day. So much of what I do as a wedding photographer is to do with creating a series of images that tells the story of the wedding, and this is just a flip side to that. Single images that are a little story all on their own.
Faye and Tom were married at Blackbrook House near Belper in Derbyshire last summer. It was a great day and such a fab venue for a wedding…click the link to see their full wedding at Blackbrook House. Me, Faye and Tom slipped away from the guests for a few minutes to take a few relaxed portraits in the grounds. Faye’s sister, Lara came along to help out with veil fluffing, bouquet carrying and make-up checks. As we were walking down the drive, Lara had to stop to take her shoes off. Faye and Tom carried on walking, and I love this shot with Lara in the background, one shoe lying on the floor, as the happy couple walk away. It’s a fun shot, which I suppose is why they picked it to appear in their wedding album!
