Relaxed Summer Wedding
I ventured down to Worcestershire earlier this year, to shoot a wedding with my good friend Simon Bunney. It was my first time at Birtsmorton Court in Worcestershire and wow, what a venue!
There was a lot of curtain twitching in the morning, as the forecast had been for torrential rain. Thankfully, it was wrong, and apart from a shower, we were treated to glorious sunshine for the rest of the day! It wouldn’t be a proper English wedding without the weather anxiety!
The great thing about Birtsmorton Court is that it has a church right next to it, so after the ceremony, all the guests made the short walk through the trees to the stunning moated venue. Typically, this is when the shower chose to arrive!
After a day in the beautiful grounds, the guests day was measurably improved by a surprise choreographed first dance that involved the couple as well as the bridesmaids and groomsmen. And yes, that is them dancing to Gangnam Style.
Peter Waby - Thank you. This has given me the idea for a wedding I have been requested to photo. It is so much better than any formal style of wedding, and captures the day beautifully. I normally photograph football, but decided to venture from the straight and narrow to photo other fields
Chris Seddon - Hi Peter. Thanks for the kind words, and good luck with photographing the wedding. I’m glad you like the documentary style. If you want to ask me any questions, feel free to drop me an e-mail. chris@chris-seddon.co.uk Cheers!
Che Birch-Hayes - Awesome wedding, I always find winter weddings difficult to shoot but you have made your nice and bright, awesome shooting and awesome editing!
Chris Seddon - Hi Che! Thanks for the comment and the kind words! Hope you have a great weekend!
