A Humanist Woodland Tipi Wedding
Way back in the summer of 2013, I went down to Berkshire to shoot this lovely humanist wedding ceremony with my good friend, Hannah Webster (Lifeline Photography).
Kate and Lloyd had hired out this fantastic country house to play host to their wedding. A great idea at a time when many wedding venues can be pretty limiting when it comes to having your wedding the way you want. Plenty of rooms for guests to stay, grounds to put the tipi and even a little wood with a clearing to hold the ceremony. Perfect!
I spent the morning with Lloyd as he greeted guests and got himself ready. As this was a private residence and not a wedding venue, there was plenty to keep him busy but, as was the general theme throughout the wedding, he took it all in his stride with a big grin on his face. No stress allowed at THIS wedding! No sirree!
I’ll leave you with my some of my favourite photos from the day. If you’re planning a woodland tipi wedding and want to have a chat about your wedding, give me a shout and tell me a bit about yourselves.
Leila Smith - Hi
I would like to know where this house is or what it’s called as we are looking for a wedding venue like this?
Many thanks
Leila
Chris Seddon - Hi Leila
The house is a private home in Berkshire, rather than a wedding venue. I think the couple found it through a friend as the owners don’t often hire it out.
Sorry I can’t be more helpful, but good luck with your search for a wedding venue. And feel free to give me a shout if you’d like to discuss your wedding photography.
Have a great week.
Chris
