A Relaxed Farm Wedding in Yorkshire
After a busy few months, I’m now playing catch-up blogging all of my Summer weddings. This is one from June that I shot with Andy Garfitt. Lizzie and James’s super laid-back farm wedding near the Yorkshire village of Denby.
I spent the morning with James and his best man, joining them on their trip for a slap up fried breakfast before getting ready and heading to the church in Cawthorne. Obviously, as they were early, they treated themselves to a quick drink in the pub over the road. The life of a groom on his wedding day is indeed a hard one!
After the ceremony, everyone made their way to a field on James’s Granddads farm in the village of Denby. The setting was perfect with a marquee and hay bales laid out for everyone along with some outdoor games, all with a fantastic view over the Yorkshire countryside.
It’s just a shame nobody told the weather. Still, in this country, we expect it to rain in Summer, so the party carried on regardless.
Here’s some of my favourite photos from the day. If you’re getting married in Yorkshire and want to chat about your wedding photography, just head to my contact page and drop me a message.
