Colourful Spring Wedding at The Bridal Barn in Claverley

It’s always fun traveling to new venues and new parts of the country to shoot weddings; so when Layla & Rob asked me to be their Bridal Barn wedding photographer over in Claverley, it ticked both of those boxes. So with my camera bag packed, and the car loaded with snacks, I set off to rural Shropshire.

The Bridal Barn is a fantastic, remote venue nestled in the Shropshire countryside. The winding private drive that leads you to the venue makes you feel like you’re leaving the modern world behind you. It’s kinda magical. The venue has an outdoor ceremony area in a small woodland clearing at the top of a small hill beside the venue. And despite the clouds in the morning, the Spring weather got its act together, and Layla, Rob, and their guests had some beautiful weather for their woodland ceremony.

Getting Married at Bridal Barn

Once you’ve enjoyed the winding private drive in, you’re met by a beautifully restored barn. With plenty of room for your ceremony and wedding breakfast, as well as a courtyard with a tipi for outside fun if the weather’s any good. The staff were friendly, chatty, and super helpful all day. If you’re looking at this for your venue, you’ll be in excellent hands!

Rural Shropshire Wedding Venue

It has a private prep room a short walk from the venue where you and your entourage can spend the morning hanging out and getting ready, safe in the knowledge that the wedding venue is a 2 minute walk away! No excuses for being late here. It also has a good view of the car park, so, like Layla & Rob’s bridesmaid, you can have a peek at all the guests arriving.

Outdoor Woodland Wedding Ceremony

If you’re blessed with some good weather, you have the option to get married outside. A steep (but thankfully short) walk up a hill next to the barn leads you to a gorgeous clearing in the trees that the venue have made incredible. The elevation gives you great views across the countryside, and you get married amongst this ancient woodland. Pretty perfect, right?
