Being a Combermere Abbey wedding photographer on one of the hottest days of the year? Sweaty, yes—but also an absolute dream. This place is absolutely stunning. Walled gardens, woodlands, a gorgeous glasshouse, and more history than you can shake a camera at. And on this particular day, it came with the added bonus of being one of the hottest days of the year. I’m talking full “do we really need the waistcoat?” energy. Thankfully, Mike and Izzy took it all in their stride—with ice-cold drinks, shaded strolls, and the occasional dash inside for a blast of that sweet, sweet air-con.

Their whole day had this relaxed, joyful vibe—like a garden party where everyone just happened to look amazing. Izzy floated around like she was built for sunshine, and Mike was cool as anything, despite the heat and the small matter of getting married in front of all their favourite people.
