A Manor House Wedding in the Cotswolds

I made the lovely picturesque drive through the Cotswolds to Moreton-in-Marsh last summer, for the wedding of Natalie and Alex at The Manor House Hotel. It was a laid back wedding for a perfectly laid back summer day. Sun, fun, smiles, and a fab wedding! I had the best time being their Cotswolds Manor House wedding photographer!

Natalie was getting ready in a little cottage at the bottom of the hotel’s manicured garden, meaning that her and her dad had just a short walk along the garden path to reach the wedding party, seated on the lawn.

As the hotel played the venue for the whole day, it allowed me to capture some shots of Alex and his groomsmen putting the finishing touches to their appearance in the hotel garden. Alex was all smiles and no visible signs of nerves, until the time approached and he was stood awaiting Natalie’s arrival.

And what an arrival it was! The guests let out an audible gasp as she appeared…or maybe that was all Alex. He certainly looked like his breath had been truly taken away. Natalie looked stunning!

With the ceremony complete and their marriage cemented, they couldn’t have looked happier as they walked down the aisle through their family and friends. After a few minutes of hugging and congratulations, we moved into the ‘Secret Garden’ for a few relaxed group photos along with some laid back portraits of Natalie and Alex.

I love it when a wedding reception really gets going, and the wedding guests today didn’t disappoint. Piling onto the dance floor before the first dance song had finished to join the newlyweds for some slow dancing and then staying on for some shape-pulling and disco merriment!
