    • Getting Married at The Fishpond, Matlock

    I’ve had the pleasure of photographing several weddings at The Fishpond in Matlock Bath, and I absolutely love what this venue offers. Tucked into a gorge in the iconic Derwent Valley, this lovingly refurbished 1800s pub-turned-wedding venue is packed with personality; from the vintage ballroom and wooden-beamed spaces to a multi-tiered garden featuring a thermal spring! (They do recommend you stick to ordering your drinks from the bar, though!)

    What sets The Fishpond apart is that it’s both relaxed and full of character. With real ales, wood-fired pizza, live music, and even arcades and fish & chips on the doorstep, there’s loads for your guests to enjoy if they’re staying nearby. The vaulted-ceiling ballroom is great for larger weddings or for your evening party. And for more intimate ceremonies, under the oak beams in the Raft Room is just what you’re looking for.
