Osmaston Park Wedding

A Beautiful Spring Wedding at Osmaston Park in Derbyshire
Those wonderful happy faces up there belong to Julia and Iain, and they asked me to photograph their wedding at Osmaston Park in Derbyshire last year. Following a lovely ceremony at St Chad’s church in Longford, they took the wedding celebrations to the stunning Osmaston Park, which might just have the most breath-taking approach I’ve ever seen at a wedding venue. The old manor house is long since demolished, but the surrounding terraces, stone walls, steps, and incredible views, are all very much intact, and make for a truly unique wedding venue!
With the Spring weather being kind on this particular weekend, their guests were able to make the most of the beautiful grassed terrace to enjoy a spot of croquet (and no, nobody knows the rules still), a glass of fizz, and to watch the kids hurl themselves around chasing little bean-bags. Not that the impressive marquee wouldn’t have been lovely to hang around in, but when you have views as amazing as this, you want to be outside for as much of the day as possible. But when the chills did send people indoors, they had a lively ceilidh band to get people warmed up!
