The Swan at Hay Wedding

A Rural Wedding and a Reception at The Swan, Hay-on-Wye

Amy and James got married at their local church in Llanstephan, Powys. A beautifully remote church, with gorgeous views of the Welsh countryside. Even on a blustery, chilly Spring day, their guests still took a brief moment to take it all in, before hurrying into the relative warmth of the church. With the ceremony complete, we all jumped into our cars and made the drive to Hay-on-Wye to the location for their wedding reception, The Swan Hotel.

Another great venue, with yet more fab views of the surrounding countryside. (We do love a good view, don’t we!) With the travelling finished for most people, the day shifted down a gear into a relaxed reception spent mingling in the lush green hotel gardens, or finding a comfy spot indoors for a natter. That is, until the party, when it was right up into top gear with all kinds of dancefloor chaos! Just how it should be. Here are a few of my faves from their day.
