Gorgeous Summer Wedding Reception at Woodthorpe Hall
This absolutely lost in the moment couple, are Ruth & Danny (give them a wave), and after tying the knot at St James’ Church in Norton, they celebrated in style at the beautiful, family-run Woodthorpe Hall near Dronfield. Such a beautiful country house, set in stunning surroundings, and the family and staff on hand were bloomin’ fantastic for the whole wedding day.
Living just around the corner from the church, Ruth got ready at home. Which meant she could have their cat in the photos. And let’s face it cat lovers, who wouldn’t want that! It also meant they could have a few relaxed portraits outside their home…which was a lovely thing to be able to do.
The afternoon was fantastic at Woodthorpe Hall, with everyone enjoying the sunshine, and getting to play and explore in the lush grounds, catching up with friends, and figuring out the finer points of the rules of croquet.
As the sun set, and the evening chill settled in, people grabbed blankets, and joined the queue for the pizza truck, which is when one of the more bizarre sights I’ve seen at a wedding appeared.
