A Wedding Reception at The Book Cafe in Derby

Lucy’s mum contacted me to see if I would photographer her daughter’s wedding reception back home. See, Mitchell’s Australian, they both live over there and got married in Brisbane. They wanted to organise something over here in the UK for Lucy’s family and friends who couldn’t make it over, so they chose the rather grand function rooms above The Book Cafe in Derby.

This was a little different to a full wedding day. No bridal prep, no formal photos, no cake cutting, no speeches. It was just a chance for the newlyweds to celebrate with their UK family. It was a fab, relaxed evening, and I engaged my Pure Documentary mode as I blended in with the guests and captured the evening as it happened.
