Holme Pierrepont Hall Wedding
A Spring Wedding at Holme Pierrepont Hall in Nottinghamshire
Back in May, on the same day as the royal wedding, Laura and Dave asked me to be their Holme Pierrepont Hall wedding photographer! After spending the morning getting ready in West Bridgford, Laura then met up with Dave at St Edmund’s Church for a beautiful wedding ceremony. This church is right next door to Holme Pierrepont Hall, so a short walk through the church grounds took everyone to the hall and the wedding reception. Stunning settings and perfect weather made for a gorgeous wedding!

I spent the morning at the Birchover Residences at Bridgford Hall in West Bridgford with Laura and the ladies as they got ready. There are so many plus sides to choosing a hotel or apartment suite to get ready in, compared to at home. Laura and her mum both mentioned how great it was not having to worry about there being enough space for everyone, and that it helped make the morning feel that extra bit special.

Onto Holme Pierrepont to see how Dave’s coping with the nerves, and he seemed to be handling them pretty well. Stood outside the church in his full uniform wearing a big grin and shaking people’s hands like his life depended on it.
After a touching ceremony, where there were one or two tissues working overtime, it was outside for the confetti and guard of honour, before a short stroll over to the hall for the drinks reception in the spectacularly manicured courtyard gardens. And the weather definitely pulled it’s socks up for this wedding, as the sunshine was endless! You couldn’t have asked for a more quintessentially English setting.
Let’s see now…what did we have next. Plenty of mingling, some sampling of the gin bar, a few lawn games, some emotional speeches, a wedding breakfast that involved one member of each table being nominated to carve the meat, some more gin probably, a few photos here and there, and finally, some fantastic dance floor action that proved that you don’t need a massive room to bust out your best dance moves!
Laura, Dave, I hope you’ll look back on your wedding day and remember what a bloomin’ good time everyone had, and that these photos will help you relive the day for many years!
