A Gorgeous Alternative Wedding at Grangefields in Derbyshire

When Ike and Melli asked if I’d be their Grangefields wedding photographer, they told me how keen they were for their guests to have as much time to mingle as possible, and how they were always more comfortable when they weren’t the centre of attention. Which works perfectly with my relaxed documentary approach to things. (They also said that there would be none of the usual cheesy wedding pop, and lots of great rock, metal, and good 80’s music throughout the day, which is a big tick in my book!)

Grangefields is a fantastic venue, surrounded by some of Derbyshire’s finest countryside. It was the perfect setting for their wedding day, with the rustic barn for the ceremony, the stunning main reception room for the meal, and a huge courtyard with festoon lighting for hanging out in the evening. And the team who run things are are one of the best I’ve ever worked alongside. Fab day all round. Here’s a few highlights from the day.
