Louise & Iain

A Midlands Barn Wedding
Louise and Iain got married last year, at a new barn wedding venue in Leicestershire. As you can see, it’s a bit nice!
I arrived nice and early, ready for the bridal preparations. I was a little too eager though as I beat Louise to the venue! I had time for a coffee with Louise and her sister as we admired the very impressive honeymoon suite.
One of the benefits of a purpose built wedding venue is that there’s somewhere for the groom to stay too. In the old farmhouse. A couple of strides later and I was with Iain and his brother as they got ready. Very handy!
As Iain greeted the first of his wedding guests, I nipped upstairs ready to capture Louise’s dad as he saw her in her dress for the first time. As you can see in the photo, it was a pretty emotional moment.
And then it was time for the wedding. Thankfully, Louise didn’t have far to go. The ceremony room being just a flight of stairs away. The room is amazing. Big and bright. A photographers dream!
Later on, as the light faded, candles in paper bag lanterns were put around the courtyard. Despite the chill in the air, the guests were still enjoying the ambience out there.
They soon got rid of those chills though, as the band started and everyone moved inside to throw some shapes. And in the case of one young lady, their wine glass!
