Three Horseshoes Wedding

A Lively, Lovely wedding at the Three Horseshoes in Leek

Michelle and Mark asked me to photograph their wedding at the Three Horseshoes in Leek, following a church ceremony in near-by Stoke. Being a wedding hair stylist, Michelle and I had crossed paths before their big day, which meant everything was already super relaxed when I arrived in the morning. It really helps when things are so easy going and friendly. Nobody was awkward around me, and (thankfully) there were no looks straight at the camera giving me finger guns!

This pair were such a great laugh, and such fun to be around, but alongside the light-hearted nature, there was a real sense of their two families coming together, especially as they both have kids from previous relationships. And I’m sure I’ve said it before, and I’ll undoubtedly say it again, it’s a real privilege to be invited into these incredibly personal occasions, and to witness these wonderful family moments.

Getting Married at The Three Horseshoes in Leek

If you’re thinking of getting married at The Three Horseshoes in Leek, I hope these photos gave you an idea as to what the experience would be like. It’s a stunning setting, with The Roaches and the Staffordshire countryside giving you amazing views from the patio and lawn at the venue. And when it came to a break in the day for relaxed couples portraits, we jumped in the car, drove a few minutes up the road, and hopped out for a five minute session of this gorgeous pair, wandering around in the tall grass and making the most of the beautiful weather.

The venue has a patio terrace, and a garden for lawn games or just hanging out in the summer. And the staff were incredible…so friendly, and they all really got involved and were all jumping around, singing along with everyone else during the singing waiter’s surprise set. When everyone gets involved, it just makes the whole day much more fun.

I’m available for wedding photography bookings at The Three Horseshoes, so drop me a message if you’d like to talk some more about your plans for the big day.
