A Fun Wintery Wedding at Tissington Hall in Derbyshire

“We want it to be fun, not formal.” is what Catriona said to me when they got in touch during their search for a Tissington Hall wedding photographer. As luck would have it ‘Fun Not Formal’ are my middle names! (They’re not.) Being a fun-loving, adventurous couple, who wanted their day to be all about having a good time with their nearest and dearest, we got on like the proverbial house on fire. Fans of the relaxed documentary style that I work in, they wanted me to just do my thing and capture all the laughter, games, and silliness from the whole day.

After getting ready in the Carriage House suite, Catriona walked over the road to the village church wearing the most incredible green cape! (Here’s to more brides in capes in 2023!) Following the ceremony, they walked their guests, pied piper style, back through the village to Tissington Hall for the reception in the main house, before returning to the Carriage House for their wedding breakfast and evening do. With the venue having so many different areas to use, it was perfect for their smaller wedding.
