GETTING MARRIED IN Nottinghamshire?

Are you planning your wedding and on the lookout for the perfect Nottinghamshire wedding photographer for you? Someone who will fit in with your family & friends and create timeless, relaxed photos that show everyone at their most natural? Then I can definitely help you!

As a documentary wedding photographer, my approach to photographing your Nottinghamshire wedding is very relaxed, but not hands-off. I won’t take photos of staged moments or boss you and your guests around to get certain pictures, but I will be a part of your day, putting your family & friends at ease, allowing me to get up close and make photos that really let you relive the day!

I’m based in Derby, which puts me just over the county border and about twenty minutes from Nottingham, so wherever you’re getting married in Nottinghamshire, I’m never far away.

Documentary Wedding Photographer Nottinghamshire

I love being a documentary wedding photographer in Nottinghamshire! It’s such a beautiful county with the rolling countryside, and absolutely covered in history! In the heart of the East Midlands, it has a central location, making it a great place to hold a wedding if your family and friends are travelling from all over the country.

And you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to venues! From the cool new kid on the block, Hazel Gap Barn, to the old favourite, Swancar Farm. Though if you’re looking for something a bit different, Papplewick Pumping Station makes for a cracking venue! Here’s a list of my Top Nottingham Wedding Venues. Whatever you’re looking for from your venue, there’s bound to be something in Nottinghamshire to suit your tastes.

Here are a select few weddings from around the county that give you a better idea of my approach to weddings. Lots of laughter, plenty of genuine moments, real emotions, and photos that will let you relive your big day over and over again!

Nope. There are no additional travel costs for anywhere in Nottinghamshire. I’m just over the county border so wherever you’re getting married, Nottingham, Southwell, Newark, it’s an easy drive for me.

Pretty well, yeah! I’ve photographed weddings at Hazel Gap Barn, Papplewick Pumping Station, Swancar Farm, Holme Pierrepont Hall, the Walled Garden at Beeston, and Nottingham Council House among others. If your venue isn’t on that list, don’t worry. I love shooting somewhere new.

Other than rounding people up for the family group shots, I’m not directing anything. I’m just there, hanging out with you and your guests, and taking photos of things as they happen. No posing, no “can you do that again.” Just real moments, as they unfold.

I’ll get them done quickly and painlessly. Give me a list beforehand, dedicate a bridesmaid or groomsmen to help round up the groups, and we’ll knock them out in 10-15 minutes, and then everyone can get back to enjoying the day. They may not be everyone’s favourite part of the day, but I know how important families are, so they’re worth doing right.

Every one of those weddings was different, but the approach was the same: get in amongst it, keep things relaxed, and make sure the photos actually feel like the day did. If that sounds like what you’re after from your Nottinghamshire wedding photographer, I’d love to hear from you.
