Looking for your Yorkshire Wedding Photographer?

I’ll be honest with you — I’m not strictly a Yorkshire wedding photographer. I’m based in Derby. But before you click away, hear me out.
I was born in Doncaster. Proper Yorkshire. And although life took me south to Derbyshire, I never lost the pull of the place. The accents, the friendliness, the countryside rolling past the car window on the way to a venue. There’s something about Yorkshire that feels like home, and that probably explains why some of my favourite weddings have happened there.

I photograph weddings all over the country, from Cornwall to the Scottish Borders, but Yorkshire always has a special place in my heart. If you’re planning a wedding up here and you want a photographer who’ll feel more like a mate than a hired hand, read on.

What I do

I’m a documentary wedding photographer, which means I spend your wedding day blending in rather than taking over. No awkward lineups, no shouting across the room, no making you do anything that feels unnatural. I just get stuck in alongside your family and friends and photograph everything as it actually happens. After 15 years of doing this, couples tell me it felt like having a friend at their wedding, which is honestly the best compliment!

Yorkshire Weddings are Something Else!

I’ve photographed weddings in barns, country houses, hotels and gardens across Yorkshire, and a few things always ring true. The guests are warm, the banter is world-class, and the speeches will undoubtedly have me tearing up behind the camera.

The county itself is stunning to drive through, too, which doesn’t hurt when you’re heading north from Derby at half six in the morning.
